As "Viasna" reports, the court, which lasted from November 3, found Gromov guilty and imposed a punishment in the form of restriction of freedom without referral to an open-type institution for a period of two years and six months ("home chemistry").

According to the criminal article, Gromov was charged with organizing and preparing actions that grossly violated public order, or with active participation in such actions.

Gromau is the former deputy chairman of the trade union of the radio electronic industry, then the secretary of the Free Trade Union of Metalworkers, which was liquidated by the Belarusian authorities in July of this year.

He was detained on April 19 together with many activists of independent trade unions.
