Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur does not believe that Russia's military power is critically weakened even after nine months of war in Ukraine.

Radio Svoboda informs about this.

"We have to be honest and clear: the Russian fleet and air force are more or less the same size as they were before the war," Pevkur said.

According to him, despite the fact that the Russian ground forces have lost significant strength, they will "sooner or later" have the number they had before the invasion on February 24, or even more.

Russia will also learn from its military experience in Ukraine, he claims.

"We have no reason to believe that the threat from Russia has somehow decreased or that the threat from NATO has decreased," the minister notes.

Earlier, Hanno Pevkur said that Estonia will continue to train the Ukrainian military.

Estonian intelligence also reported that Russia had spent up to 70% of its ammunition in the war.
