Yesterday, the operator of the electric transmission network "Ukrenergo" announced that the electricity producers are able to cover only 3/4 of the consumption needs, which imposes restrictions and interruptions of the electricity supply throughout the country.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that there are restrictions on the use of electricity in 14 of Ukraine's 27 regions and in Kyiv.

More than 100,000 users are affected by them in each of the areas.

If consumption increases in the evening, the number of outages may increase.

This once again shows how important it is now to save electricity and consume it rationally, Zelensky said in his evening video address, BTA informs.

The latest Russian bombardment on Wednesday caused the worst damage so far in the conflict, leaving millions of people in Ukraine without electricity, water and heating.

Zelensky on Friday criticized the mayor of Kyiv for what he said was a poor job of setting up crisis centers to help people left without electricity and heating after the Russian attacks.

Snow is expected to continue to fall in Kyiv until the middle of the week and temperatures will remain below zero.
