Petro Kotin, President of Energoatom NAEC, said that now there are signs that the Russians are preparing to leave Zaporizhzhia NPP, which they seized and are threatening with nuclear terrorism.

He said this on November 27 on the telethon.

Kotin noted that "Energoatom" is monitoring the situation around the occupied nuclear power plant and now there are signs that they are probably preparing to leave our nuclear facility.

"First of all, a lot of publications began to appear in the Russian press about the fact that ZANP should perhaps be left, perhaps it should be handed over to the IAEA for control. You know, the impression is that they are packing their bags and that they are stealing everything they can find," said Kotin.

The president of "Energoatom" noted that this does not mean that the Russian Federation can soon withdraw from our NPP, but there are signs that they are preparing to do so.

He added that Russia could mine the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The situation at Zaporizhzhya NPP

At the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russian terrorists seized the largest nuclear power plant in Europe - the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

They regularly fire at our nuclear plant, threatening the world with a nuclear disaster.

It is known that on November 23, IAEA Director General Raphael Grossi met with Rosatom CEO Oleksiy Likhachev in Istanbul.

They discussed the creation of a security zone around the ZNPP.

Denys Shmyhal said that Belgium will help Ukraine in the demilitarization of the

Zaporizhzhia NPP
