Technologies used to manage COVID-19

Thailand is also fast in disease management and reporting.

With the use of technology in the health management system, including

1. Application “Mor Ready”

We have used the "Mor Prompt" application to check and observe the symptoms of being infected with COVID-19 or not, ready to register for vaccination.

and report side effects to the public

2. Application "Mor Chana"

Mo Chana helps people check their own risks when traveling to different places.

and is a safety requirement for service users to know if they are in a risky area or not

3. Assistant robot

The robotic assistant is designed to travel to a patient to ask questions, deliver medication, and act as a representative between doctors and nurses, talking to patients to distance themselves from contact.

4. Ambulance 5G vehicle

Mobile COVID testing vehicle

that access the risky cluster area

and collect sample results to confirm with the laboratory again

This allows officials to know the outcome of the outbreak quickly.

5. Dashboard reports results from a central location.

when the number of infected people

and the deceased

will be reported to the public

To use this information to plan further disease management.

6. Social Media System

Nowadays, Social Media is a tool that people use to receive more information.

The government therefore sees the importance and disseminates information about COVID-19.

for the public to easily recognize

  • April, parent strain is Omicron BA.2

  • In May, the parent strain is Omicron BA.2.

Summary of what we have learned from COVID-19

to cope in 2023

- Omicron is a COVID-19 strain likely to be the main strain in Thailand in 2023, especially subspecies BA.5 and BA.2.75.

- wearing a mask

Helps reduce infection with many respiratory diseases

It was found to help reduce the spread of influenza from the time of the epidemic as well.

- Some Thai people still lack understanding of vaccination.

and did not receive 1 needle injection

- Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) are those who are important to the control of new infectious diseases.

And is an intermediary that helps bring local people to get vaccinated.

and provide knowledge and understanding of COVID-19

- Some Thai people who have received the full dose of vaccination last year

Think 2 doses of vaccination is enough for an outbreak

But according to research around the world, it should be injected with a stimulant needle.

- Currently (25 Nov 2022), 46.6% of Thai people have already received the booster vaccine, which must be received at 70% or more to have significant implications for controlling the new wave of outbreaks.

Omicron strain BA.5 is likely to be re-infected in people who have been infected with COVID.

The predominant symptoms of the BA.5 strain are fatigue, cough and fever at the same time, and there is a possibility of severe infection entering the lungs.

If the onset of respiratory symptoms

Avoid social gatherings with friends, keep a distance, separate use of serving spoons with family members.

and if you haven't received the booster vaccine

Can contact the public health unit near home without having to wait for infection first
