[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] A landslide occurred on Saturday (26th) in the southern Italian resort "Ischia" (Ischia), destroying many buildings.

Eight dead and 13 are known to be missing.

According to a Reuters report, in the early hours of the 26th local time, a heavy rain hit the volcanic island of Ischia in the Tyrrhenian Sea, triggering landslides and destroying many residential buildings.

Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said eight people were known to have died in the disaster, but Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi said no deaths had been confirmed.
