Against the background of the Ukrainian

army

's ability to create new combat-ready units, a problem arises regarding the pace of supplies of Western weapons.

This was stated by Israeli military expert David Handelman on the air of the Espresso TV channel.

"Now the question is how many not so much in the Russian, but in the Ukrainian army, are already ready to use the forces, in particular, those withdrawn from the right bank. Plus, as we know, new reserves are constantly being prepared, new units are being created. The message that, that another amphibious brigade, another mechanized brigade is being created, we are already talking about the creation of new army corps," he said.

According to the expert, the problem is that there is currently no visible increase in the supply of weapons, and the part that can be taken from the trophies is completely insignificant.

"In terms of personnel, the Ukrainian army can create new units quite quickly, but without taking into account training and so on, they need to be armed with something, and until we see really large supplies, a large increase in supplies. Of course, a part can be taken from trophies, from the same Kharkiv direction, as reported, quite a lot was taken, because the whole problem is that the front is large, in addition to creating a Ukrainian shock fist for the same Melitopol direction, it is desirable to throw reserves to the northeast and to Bakhmut, in a word, to spread the forces , which in principle are not so many, because the reserves are not yet fully ready," Handelman concluded.

It will be recalled that the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain decided to hand over

three Sea King helicopters and 10,000 artillery shells

to Ukraine .
