Two police officers have been charged with bribery.

The information was announced at a briefing in the District Prosecutor's Office - Blagoevgrad, and details of the case were given by the supervising prosecutor Ivaylo Filipov.

The case dates back to November 17, when the patrol of two "Traffic Police" officers at the "National Police" General Directorate carried out traffic control and corruption prevention.

Instead of the goal of the law being achieved and the idea of the management of the DG "National Police" being implemented, the police officers deviated drastically from their official duties and committed several acts that are the subject of an accusation qualified as bribery, the supervising prosecutor pointed out.

One concerns a truck driver transporting wood and the second is for a car driver.

In both cases, the amount of the bribe is BGN 500, it became known at the briefing.
