On the border of Zaporizhzhia region with Donetsk region, Ukrainian artillerymen work around the clock.

They go to firing positions in any weather to support our infantry, to stop another attempt of an enemy assault, or to calculate and destroy the artillery and mortar calculations of the Rashists.

Each 155-mm projectile from the Italian howitzer is dispatched by our soldiers towards the enemy with a personal message to the occupiers.

Her name is FH70, and she was born at the end of the 70s, back in the last century, on the initiative of three parents from NATO: Great Britain, Germany and Italians.

It was Italy that, in order to support the liberation aspirations of Ukrainians in the battle with the invaders, handed over such howitzers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the spring.

The calculations of this Ukrainian artillery battery began to hit the occupiers at the end of February, with 152 millimeter, still Soviet-style, howitzers, MSTA-B.

In May, the soldiers met FH.

The NATO howitzer is somewhat more complex due to its mechanisms, fighters say, but it is very rapid-fire.

"If the guys work well - it's great, then it will be more accurate. Much faster," says serviceman Mykola.

The distance from which you can aim at the Rashists and the accuracy of the damage are invaluable advantages for the current war, Serhii insists.

He knows exactly what he is talking about!

It is his job to ensure the effectiveness of firing a heavy howitzer.

"I just liked being a gunner, I saw that it was mine! And that's it! It's picky: there's a chair," he shows

However, from that privileged seat, every time, after adjusting the settings, Serhiy has to jump.

Such, he says, is a constructive quirk in the FH of the 70s.

Ever since our soldiers became familiar with the howitzer, the soldiers of the 44th Artillery sent more than one thousand heavy 155-millimeter shells at the heads of the occupiers.

Each munition, Tuka insists, must have a personal, explosive message to the occupiers.

"We just sign wishes when there is a free moment. We can sign when someone calls or asks," the fighters say about the inscriptions.

Just during the shooting of the TSN, the military sent two dozen shells.

Already after the first shots, an enemy mortar, which was disguised by the Rashists in one of the captured villages in Donetsk region, tore it to pieces.

After correction and half a dozen more shells, which hit the target exactly, the enemy warehouse with ammunition flew into the air and then detonated for a long time.

Even after the shooting was over, when the battery left its firing position, correction officer Serhii admitted: he was aiming the howitzer slowly.

Maximum cold-bloodedness.

He wanted, he says, so that each projectile acquired additional energy.

"Under such an opinion, what they did, you prove when you make a shot even with that energy that even it flies where it needs to go! You just want to aim for those 5 seconds longer, but hit exactly there," the fighter insists.
