President Draupadi Murmu said that what I did not say, you all should think about it.

New Delhi:

Speaking at the Constitution Day function, President Draupadi Murmu won the hearts of hundreds of people present in the Supreme Court including CJI DY Chandrachud, other judges, Law Minister.

Even people stood up and clapped.

Keeping his point in Hindi, he said that, there is talk of making more jails, what kind of development is this, jails should be finished.

The President said that I am leaving my point incomplete, what I did not say, you all think about it.

The President emotionally told the judges, "Think of the people in jail. Think of those who have been imprisoned for years for slapping. They don't know their rights, nor the Preamble of the Constitution, nor Fundamental rights or fundamental duties. No one is thinking about them. Their family members do not have the courage to rescue them, because in fighting the case, even the utensils of their house are sold. Those who end the lives of others roam outside. , But the common man remains in jail for years for minor crimes.

Draupadi Murmu said, "I come from a small village, we villagers consider only three people as God- Guru, Doctor and Lawyer. Guru is in the role of God by giving knowledge, doctor by giving life and lawyer by giving justice."

He shared his experiences of the assembly committee during his first MLA term.

Expressed regret that his expectations did not come true, then shared the experiences he had during his governorship.

At the closing ceremony of Constitution Day, President Draupadi Murmu said that its Preamble is the foundation stone of our Constitution.

The biggest beauty of our constitution is the Lakshman Rekha of the three pillars of democracy, the legislature, the executive and the judiciary.

Everyone respects each other by staying within their respective limits.

He said that the makers of the constitution were soldiers of Gandhiji.

Its imprint is clearly visible on the constitution.

Women leaders played a big and leading role while being a member of the Constituent Assembly.

At the function, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said that when I went to meet the President after becoming the CJI, I was very impressed by him.

Our constitution is unique and it was made, written, prepared in New Delhi.

While many Asian and African countries wrote the constitution around Buckingham Palace.

The shadow and imprint of Ireland was seen on them.

But we are proud that our constitution is based on Indian life and values.

Even after seven decades, our constitution is intact in its original and amended form.

There is rule of law.

At the same time, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said that gender equality is the most important area in the legal eco system.

During my stay in London, I also went to the place where Bhimrao Ambedkar wrote his famous and deep thoughts.

He wrote that development will be considered meaningful only when women are brought forward through it.

With the co-ordination of the judiciary and the government, we have overcome many challenges by setting a record for the development and betterment of the society.

Rijiju said that our focus is on the infrastructure of the lower courts.

There are 70000 cases pending in the Supreme Court.

There are more than 70 lakh cases pending in the High Courts.

Several steps are being taken to clear the mountain of about five crore cases pending in the lower courts.

Our coordination is very good.

There will be no shortage in money and cooperation.

He said that on this day we look back and also aim towards the future.

We had written a letter to the Chief Justice of the states for fast track courts for cases related to women and children.

It is a matter of regret that many states are not serious about this, we are sorry for that.
