Residents of the city of 4 million are under one of the longest quarantines in the country, barring them from leaving their homes for 100 days.

On the streets of Urumqi, people chanted "End the quarantine!" and also sang the national anthem of China with the words: "Stand up, who refuses to be slaves!".

Urumqi officials held a press conference on the morning of Saturday, November 26, to deny that the COVID-19 measures had prevented the escape and rescue of people who died in the fire.

At the same time, in many residential complexes, the quarantine was canceled before the announced end date after complaints from residents.

In the Chinese capital, Beijing, some residents who are in quarantine also staged small protests due to the restrictions on their movement.

As a result, they forced them to cancel early.

We will remind, in China they decided to send quarantine measures due to the increase in cases of COVID-19.

Outbreaks of the disease are reported by the authorities of 31 provinces.
