The Turkish army, in the framework of its latest operation, continues to strike terrorist targets in northern Syria and Iraq, the Anadolu Agency reported.

The strikes have been carried out since November 19 using artillery and aviation.

No fewer than 326 fighters have been neutralized, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar told journalists.

The Turkish minister stressed that the target of the armed forces of Turkey is only the terrorists, and the operation itself continues successfully.

He denied claims that a US military observation post in northern Syria had been struck.

Turkey continues to do its best to eradicate the threat of terrorism in the region and ensure the security of its borders and the Turkish people, Akar said.

Turkey's defense minister also said that Turkey will continue to support the fraternal Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Azerbaijan and Libya in their just struggle.
