Singer

Svitlana Loboda

will be added to the list of undesirable persons in Lithuania due to her tour in the occupied Crimea.

This information was confirmed by the representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Paulina Levitskyte, writes the Baltic news agency BNS.

They want to make Loboda a persona non grata against the background of her announced tour of major Lithuanian cities in November and December.

"After consultations with Ukrainian partners, we are adding the performer to the list of persona non grata," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania reported.

According to Culture Minister Simonas Kairis, this performer is a citizen of Ukraine and currently lives in Latvia, therefore, unlike performers with a Russian passport, she is not automatically banned from entering the country.

"Organizers of private events should know that they are taking a risk, that such a person who carries certain risks can be added to the list at any moment - this is already in judicial practice. And then they also risk their investments," Kairis noted.

As you know, Svitlana Loboda was active in concerts in Russia after the Russian occupation of Crimea, and in 2015 she performed at an event on May 9, dedicated to the victory of the Soviet Union in World War II.
