Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political analyst of the Information Resistance group, told which missiles Russian terrorists mainly started to use for attacks on Ukraine and why this happened.

He expressed his opinion on the air of Radio NV.

According to him, during the first massive missile strikes on Ukraine, the Russians deliberately used different types of missiles, since each type of missile weapon has its own countermeasure algorithm.

They probably tried to force Ukrainian air defense to use them simultaneously to reduce its effectiveness.

"When the Caliber, X-101 is used at the same time, and the Shahed-136 is also flying here, and then the Iskander is also launched, then the same location, which has anti-aircraft protection, could not effectively use one of these weapons." he explained.

He also suggested that the use of different missiles could be related to the inadequacy of any one unification of missile weapons.

"They collected what was available at the time when this strike was prepared," he noted.

The expert noted that recently Russian terrorists have been trying to accumulate a unified ammunition base, the basis of which are Kh-101 air missiles.

According to Kovalenko, this may be due to the fact that there are more of this type of missile weapons left in warehouses and storage centers than others.

In addition, it is easier for Russia to produce them, that is, they have much more spare parts.

"Therefore, we can talk about the fact that in the future they will also focus on the X-101," Kovalenko suggested.

It will be recalled that the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian terrorists use their own development, which is an analogue of GPS, to guide missiles at targets in Ukraine, but the microchips for it are of foreign production.
