Currently, in Kyiv, electricity capacity is sufficient for only 30% of the residents' needs, so the lights in the city's homes are alternately turned on for 3-4 hours.

Oleksandr Fomenko, general director of DTEK Network, told about this on the air of TSN within the framework of the national telethon.

Fomenko said that on November 24, it was possible to fully restore the electricity supply to Kyiv's life support facilities and partially to the townspeople's homes.

"Unfortunately, the limits proven so far do not allow us to fulfill the schedules of hourly restrictions. We only have enough power for 30% of the needs of the city's residents. Therefore, now we alternately turn on homes for 3-4 hours, then switch to another group of homes. In other words,

the residents of Kyiv will have light at home for 4 hours, until it is off for 8

," explained the CEO of DTEK Merezhi.

As for the Kyiv region,

the situation there is more critical due to a large number of damage to distribution networks due to bad weather.

"Today we plan to restore networks and switch to an algorithm of actions similar to Kyiv," said Fomenko.

"I want to note that the generation will continue to increase capacity, so there is a high probability that the limits will increase and gradually we will reach the planned shutdown schedules that were in effect before the last shelling.

Roughly, sometime on Monday

," he said.

We will remind, as of the morning of November 25, 50% of Kyiv's housing stock was in emergency power outage mode.

As reported by "Ukrenergo", as of the evening of November 25, the energy system of Ukraine still has a significant deficit of electricity from consumption needs.

It is about 30%.

However, repair crews are working around the clock and electricity is still being connected to household consumers.
