The war has reached its peak, and the Armed Forces may soon make a major breakthrough again.

However, the position of the West regarding the final end of the war in Ukraine still remains uncertain.

How will Russia behave then and what will the West do in case of new successes of the Armed Forces on the front - said diplomat, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 2007-2009, head of the Russian Research Center Volodymyr Ogryzko within the framework of the joint project "Conversations about what is important" "Breakfast with 1+1" and TSN.ua.

"The main question is what the West will do. Unfortunately, the West has not developed any strategic line yet. We do not yet understand what decision has been made regarding the future of Russia. Does it remain with the new "good Russians", this pseudo-position, which in fact is not that does not affect. Will Russia still turn into a potato field, which was Nazi Germany after the Second World War," the expert notes.

In his opinion, the main foreign policy task of Ukraine is to explain to Western partners so that they do not repeat the mistakes after the collapse of the USSR.

Then the West believed that Russia could become democratic.

"It was absolute stupidity. It would be sad if the West repeated this stupidity again. Russia is neither liberal nor democratic. It emerged from the Horde system of governance, so there is no smell of democracy there," says Ogryzko.

The expert believes that Russia can become democratic only in one case: if civilized countries control it and prepare for this democracy for generations.

"I don't see any other way for Russia," concluded Ogryzko.

Earlier, Volodymyr Ogryzko explained how the caste system of governance works in the Russian Federation and assessed the chances of Kadyrov and Prigozhin seizing power.
