After the heinous murder of Shraddha Walker in the national capital, another similar case has come to the fore in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman's body was chopped up and thrown away at a distant place.

According to the Sitapur police, they recovered the body of the victim, identified as Jyoti alias Sneha, from Gulriha under Rampur Kalan police station area of ​​Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur district on November 8, while the two main accused in the case were identified as Pankaj Maurya. Identified in

According to the statement of the police, the dead body of the woman has been recovered from Gulriha of Rampur Kalan area of ​​Sitapur police station.

The woman is the wife of one of the accused, Pankaj Maurya.

The Sitapur police revealed in its statement, "Accused Pankaj Maurya has confessed before the police that he along with one of his accomplices had killed his wife."

The accused told in his statement to the police that the woman Jyoti alias Sneha used to take drugs regularly.

Accused Pankaj said, "She used to stay at someone's house for many days, due to which their relationship turned sour."

In its statement, the Sitapur police said that the accused, identified as Pankaj Maurya, decided to eliminate Jyoti, with whom he was married for ten years, as he suspected that she was cheating on him. 

In its statement, the Sitapur police said, "Pankaj's friend has also been arrested for helping in the crime."

The police statement said that the accused have been arrested after successful surveillance with the joint efforts of Uttar Pradesh Police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and Rampur Police.
