On November 24, prosecutors, together with police investigators, exhumed the corpses of two local residents, men aged 28 and 39,

near a forest strip in the village of Podola, Kupyan district,

Kharkiv region .

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office informs about this.

According to the preliminary version of the investigation, in mid-September, when the village was still under occupation, they were shot by the Russian Armed Forces.

Residents of the village reported that they saw the men's car stall near the Russian checkpoint, after which people heard a gunshot.

Gunshot wounds were found on the bodies of the victims in the torso and head.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

completed the exhumation at the place of mass burial of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

in Lyman.

Among the dead due to Russian aggression are men, women and children.
