"The man was awarded for bravery shown during battles against the armed forces of Kyiv," the publication added, citing official sources.

"In fact, Kiselyov is the only survivor of an operation by the Ukrainian army. In addition to the order, the double murderer also received a promotion," the site added.

"Before joining the private military company Wagner this October, Kiselov was serving a nine-and-a-half-year sentence. In 2017, he was found guilty of manslaughter of two or more people," the site also said.

"A year before he received his sentence, the man went to visit a friend. While two were drinking alcohol, a scandal broke out between them. Kiselyov took a heavy metal object and struck his housewife 28 times. Then the man strangled the second woman. She heard screams from the apartment next door and wanted to see what was going on with her neighbor," added "Important Stories".
