Russia, led by the dictator Putin, has not left any invasive plans for Kyiv, and the citizens, as well as the military, must be prepared for a possible repeated attempt by the invaders to attack the capital.

This was stated by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko in an interview with the BBC.

According to Klitschko, as long as the war in Ukraine continues, the risk of an attack by the occupiers on Kyiv remains.

However, he is convinced that a repetition of the events of the beginning of a full-scale invasion is impossible, because the Ukrainian defenders are much better prepared.

"And until the end of the war,

to be focused on the fact that such an attack on Kyiv is probably possible.

Not only attacks by missiles, drones, but also a military operation with the aim of capturing Kyiv. Whether it is real or not is another matter. right.

I am convinced that this version of events will not happen again, when the orcs of the aggressor stood in the suburbs of Kyiv.

We, receiving information from the military, are now much better prepared, many more people already have skills, equipment, weapons, and this will not happen again under no conditions," said the mayor.

Klitschko added that it is necessary to be ready for a possible attack attempt, because "the goal of the aggressor remains the same."

"

I don't want to incite panic, but the goal of the aggressor, the goal of Russia, the goal of Putin is to capture all of Ukraine. And it's no secret

that the city of Kyiv is and remains a key component in their plans

. They want to capture it. Therefore, there is no need to cool down." - emphasized the mayor.

What is known about the threat from Belarus

On February 24, the first equipment of the occupiers launched an attack on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.

Lukashenka's regime gave Putin territory in Belarus for the Russian army, which regularly launches missiles and Iranian drones over Ukraine.

Recently, the danger of an attack from the territory of Belarus has increased.

Advisor to the President's Office, Oleksiy Arestovych, said that the Russian command is considering the possibility of a new offensive from Belarus on the territory of Ukraine.

According to him,

one option is to Kyiv

, the second option, relatively speaking, to Volyn.

However, most of the Russian conscripts training in Belarus are preparing to go to the Donbas, not to the north.

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar, assures that there

are currently insufficient enemy forces on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border for a repeated offensive.

She assured that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in a state of readiness to counter a possible attack.

The commander of the forces and means of defense of Kyiv Oleksandr Pavlyuk said that in Kyiv they are strengthening

the fortification equipment of the districts

and defense lines of the capital and the region with the help of long-lasting fire structures weighing 30 tons. For example, places for shelter and accommodation of personnel are being equipped at platoon and company strongholds and long-term fire structures are installed for conducting a defensive battle.

According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, Russia

can theoretically attack Ukraine from the north,

but practically it does not have the strength to do so.

He reminded that Belarus de-armed and handed over 211 weapons and 65,000 tons of ammunition to the Russian Federation last month, which were transported for the conduct of hostilities in Donbas.

Oleksandr Musienko, head of the Center for Military and Legal Research, is convinced that it

is impossible to capture Kyiv today.

"It is possible that in order to create the appearance of threats, Russia can create groups from the composition of the mobilized, keep them simply at the border to create an illusion... Although, by today's standards, this is a luxury for them, because they cannot take Bakhmut, they are trying to hold on in the Kreminnaya area and cannot launch a counterattack. Plus, the task is to keep the strike in the south. That's why it's not so easy to create strike groups in all directions,

" Musienko explained.
