"Stanislav Vasilievich Zas is completing his three-year term as CSTO Secretary General," said Pashinyan, opening the meeting of the Collective Security Council.
At the beginning of November, at a meeting with Lukashenka, Zas proposed to increase the term of office in this position.
Lukashenko asked whether Zas had sat down in Moscow.
"No," answered Zas and lamented that three years is too short a term for the general secretary.
- Because in reality there is a lot of activity, and until you cover everything and feel confident, you need time.
And time flies very quickly."
In 2023, the representative of Kazakhstan, Imangali Tasmagambetov, will take Zasya's place, and Belarus will take over the chairmanship of the CSTO.
Stanislav Zas is a military man, originally from Chernihiv region, he studied at the Military Academy of the Russian Federation, before his current position he was the State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus.
I am convinced that NATO poses a threat to the CSTO countries.
