Military expert Oleksiy Melnyk believes that the Russians will not flee from the left bank of the Dnieper as quickly as they did on the right bank.

According to him, the group of Russian troops on the left bank of the Kherson region will remain in their positions as long as they have the opportunity to hold them.

Melnyk told about this in an interview with OBOZREVATEL.

After the departure of the occupiers from the right bank of the Kherson region, information appeared that the Russians on the left bank are panicking and taking looted material values to Russia or the Crimea.

However, Oleksiy Melnyk is convinced that it does not look like the occupiers are going to leave their positions.

"This is not a sign that a withdrawal is being prepared. Since the conditions on the right bank of the Dnieper cannot be compared with those on the left," the expert explained.

According to Melnyk, at one time the occupiers on the right bank of the Dnieper could not conduct hostilities, or even remain in their positions, due to huge logistical problems.

However, on the left bank of the Dnieper, the enemy has fire control over his positions.

"This is a strategically important direction, in particular, in the context of access to the Crimean Isthmus, so I think the Russians will try to hold it until the end," Melnyk suggested.

We will remind, military expert, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan told what tactics the Armed Forces can choose to liberate the left bank of the Kherson region.

According to him, the occupiers managed to blow up the bridges and did not allow the Armed Forces to cross to the left bank of the Dnieper, so now there is only one point where this is still possible - in the area of Novaya Kakhovka.
