Ukraine returned the bodies of another 33 fallen defenders.

This was reported in the Ministry of Reintegration on November 22.

"The bodies of servicemen who gave their lives for Ukraine were handed over. Today, the bodies of 33 defenders were returned to their families," the message reads.

In particular, it is noted that the process of returning bodies takes place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention.

The Ministry of Reintegration also emphasized that

since

the beginning of the work of the Commissioner's Office ,

it was possible to return 696 bodies

"The process of negotiations on the transfer of the bodies is ongoing. With joint efforts, we strive to return the bodies of the defenders to the families as soon as possible, so that they can properly honor their memory," emphasized Oleg Kotenko, Commissioner for Missing Persons.

It is worth noting that the bodies of fallen defenders are returned to Ukraine every month.

On the other hand, a number of cases of refusal to collect the bodies of their fallen soldiers were recorded on the part of the enemy.

There was also information about the burning of Russian soldiers and peaceful Ukrainians in portable mobile crematoria, which the Russian Federation brought with it to the war against Ukraine.

In the case of civilians, this was done to cover up Russia's war crimes in Ukraine against the civilian population.

In the case of the bodies of the Russian occupiers - to avoid paying compensation for the death of the family.

It will be recalled that after the pre-occupation of Kherson it became known that the Russians were destroying the bodies of their soldiers who died during heavy battles in the summer.

The occupiers probably

burned them in a landfill

.

The place, which was once an ordinary garbage dump, became a forbidden area in the summer and was strictly fenced off by the invading troops from prying eyes.
