Google's parent company Alphabet has prepared to lay off 10,000 employees.

According to media reports, the employees performing poorly will be fired.

Before Google, giant technology companies like Twitter, Amazon, Facebook-Meta had laid off a large number of employees.

According to a report by The Information, Google is planning to lay off around 10,000 employees by implementing the Performance Improvement and Ranking Plan scheme.

Under the new system, the company is going to remove 6 percent of the staff from managers.

Under this plan, Google's managers will be able to grade the employees and prevent them from giving bonuses and other grants.

Reports suggest that the new system also reduces the percentage of employees who can earn higher grades.

According to the report, about 1 lakh 87 thousand employees are working in Alphabet.

Alphabet has not yet commented on the report.

Earlier reports said that the company would give 60 days to the staff to apply for the new role in case of job cuts.
