Shashi Tharoor said that I am not afraid of anyone and no one should be afraid of me either.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor made a big statement on Tuesday, after which he suddenly came into the limelight.

Tharoor traveled to Malabar in his home state of Kerala and met senior leaders of UDF ally IUML and said that he was not afraid of anyone.

Also, no one needs to be afraid of them.

Shashi Tharoor said, 'I am not afraid of anyone and there is no need for anyone to be afraid of me.'

He also said that he is not interested in forming any faction in the Kerala Congress.

Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor's remarks assume significance amid speculation that a section of the Congress leadership in Kerala is fueling his growing support and formation of a 'Tharoor faction' within the party in the state.

Let us inform that in the year 2016, the power was lost from the hands of the Congress.

In such a situation, the talk of forming a new faction within the party had started.  

Tharoor further said that at a time when divisive politics is active in the country, there is a need for such politics, which brings everyone together.

He said that it is commendable that IUML has recently organized programs to promote brotherhood in Chennai, Bengaluru and Mumbai.

After meeting Tharoor, Thangal said that Tharoor had a close relationship with his family.

Thangal further said that he is invited to all important events, occasions, so he came to meet us when he was here.

When asked whether he wanted Tharoor to remain active in Kerala politics, he said that he is already active.
