This fish was caught in the Bluewater Lake of Champagne, France.

A British fisherman has caught a very rare fish.

The New York Post told that

this fisherman has probably caught the world's largest

goldfish

 .

This big orange colored fish was named 'The Carrot'.

Its weight is about 30 kg.

It weighs 13.5 kg more than the fish caught in Minnesota, USA

in the year 2019

, which till now was considered to be the world's largest fish.

The special thing is that 42-year-old Andy Hackett caught this fish in the Bluewater Lake of Champagne, France.

Which is known for carp fish.

This fish is a hybrid fish of leather carp and koi carp which is traditionally orange in colour.

Mr. Hackett said after his victory, I always knew the "Carat" was out there, but I never thought I'd catch it.

It took Mr. Hackett 25 minutes to catch and chase the fish.

I knew it was a big fish when it came in my grip, it made a lot of effort to get away.

But then when it came up after 30 or 40 yards, I saw that it was orange in colour.

It was great to catch it but it was only possible with luck.
