Extraordinary presidential elections are held in Kazakhstan.

According to APA, polling stations will open at 07:00 local time and close at 20:00.

President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev has already voted at the polling station located in the Palace of Schoolchildren in the capital.

The Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan announced that the voter turnout was 23.37 percent as of 10:00 a.m. local time.

It should be noted that 6 candidates are fighting for the presidential seat, including the current head of state Kasim-Jomart Tokayev.
