"Three men of Moldovan origin and a Kurdish man and woman of Syrian origin were detained by Bulgarian special police forces earlier this week following an investigation and close cooperation with prosecutors in neighboring Turkey," Geshev told Reuters.

Those detained in our country in connection with the attacks in Turkey are also accused of embezzlement and human trafficking

"Accusations have been brought against five people - for supporting terrorist acts in another country and for human trafficking. These people were mainly involved in trafficking across the border (with Turkey) and smuggling. The Turkish prosecutor's office has already requested the extradition of some of the suspected accomplices in the attack," he says.

The court in our country has already determined that the four men remain in custody, while another option will be sought for the woman in view of her state of health.

On Friday, a Turkish court ordered the pretrial detention of 17 people suspected of involvement in the explosion, including the suspected bomber, whom police identified as Ahlam Albashir, a Syrian national.

No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion, which injured more than 80 people and killed six, bTV recalls.
