The Women's Union of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (UWT) has instructed the members who are elected to lead the union in the regions to commit themselves to serve and defend CCM to win the Local Government Elections in 2024 and the General Elections in 2025.

Speaking at the Election Conference UWT Dodoma Region, UWT Taifa Secretary, Dr. Philisy Nyimbo said whoever is elected should support the efforts of President Samia Suluhu Hassan's government to help Tanzanians.

Nyimbo instructed those who will win to unite women at various levels from the grassroots, branches, ward, district, region to the nation.

Deputy General Secretary of CCM Taifa, Christina Mndeme said that the leaders who will be elected should realize that they are going to create a large army starting from the branch, ward, district and regional level.

Mndeme said the women should support President Samia's efforts to improve services in the health, water, electricity, roads, democracy and international cooperation sectors.

He instructed the regional winners to strengthen the party at the branches and higher levels, also attend meetings and increase the number of members from the current 94,000.

Dodoma Regional Head, Rosemary Senyamule said President Samia has done a lot in Dodoma Region including providing funds to implement projects aimed at helping women.

The chairman who is expiring and running again, Neema Kajure congratulated the members for the cooperation that made it possible to create and implement many projects during their five years of leadership.

Other candidates are Kaundime Masasi, Elizabeth Lameck and Zabibu Mafiti.

At the same time, three candidates, Flora Zelothe and Neema Mollel and Muna Taribu have competed for the chairmanship of UWT Arusha Region.

The Chairperson of UWT Arusha Region who is ending her term, Yasmine Bachu thanked for the cooperation they gave her over the past five years.

Bachu asked the elected leaders to protect the economy because politics without the economy is impossible to continue.
