Ahmedabad:

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will start campaigning for the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022 from Monday.

For this, Rahul Gandhi will take a break from his Bharat Jodo Yatra which started from South India.

His visit coincides with a state visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is spending a lot of time campaigning ahead of the elections in his home state.

Voting will be held in Gujarat elections in two phases on December 1 and December 5, while the counting of votes will be done on December 8.

An announcement will be made today regarding Rahul Gandhi's Gujarat tour.

At the same time, PM Modi will attend at least eight programs in the state from Saurashtra to Surat.

The main attraction of PM Modi's visit is the visit to the Somnath temple on Sunday.

The Prime Minister is also the chairman of the Somnath Temple Trust.

After reaching Gujarat on Saturday evening, PM Modi will address a rally in Valsad.

The next day after visiting the Somnath temple, the PM will address four rallies in Saurashtra region at Veraval, Dhorarji, Amreli and Botad.

In the last assembly elections, BJP could not win even a single seat out of these assembly seats in Saurashtra.

Most of these are traditionally considered Congress seats.

On the third day, PM Modi will hold three rallies in Surendranagar, Bharuch and Navsari.

Bharuch was once the constituency of former Congress veteran Ahmed Patel, while BJP state president CR Patil, who hails from Navsari, has been winning the Lok Sabha seat with a huge margin.

Rahul Gandhi can come to Navsari on Monday.

Along with this, PM Modi can hold a closed-door meeting with state leaders during his visit.
