TTE pushes soldier off Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express after argument over ticket...

Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh):

An army jawan's leg was amputated at Bareilly railway station on Thursday after he was allegedly pushed from a moving train by a ticket inspector (TTE).

An officer gave this information.

The seriously injured soldier has been admitted to the hospital.

A case has been registered against the missing accused TTE since the incident.

Sudhir Singh, Senior Finance Manager, Moradabad Division of Northern Railway, told that CCTV footage related to the case is being seen, and the accused TTE is absconding.

According to railway officials, the incident took place on Thursday morning at platform number 2, when a TTE named Supan Bore pushed a soldier named Sonu off the Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express after an argument over a ticket.

Sonu fell down from the moving train and his right leg got amputated after being hit by the train.

He has been admitted to the Military Hospital, where his condition is said to be critical.

Station President of Government Railway Police Ajit Pratap Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused TTE in the case under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code for attempt to murder, and he is being searched.

It is reported that after the incident some other passengers allegedly assaulted the accused TTE.
