"I proposed a public form because Russia is waging a public war with Ukraine," Zelensky said (quoted by "Ukrainian Pravda").

The President of Ukraine said that he does not want to have "any relations behind the scenes" with the Russian side.

"I am ready to recommend this format, I will think with my colleagues how to do it," he added.

According to him, so that world leaders do not have any questions about Ukraine's readiness for negotiations, at the G20 summit he proposed ten steps to restore peace in the country.

"I believe that this is a formula for peace for the whole world.

Because every state can find its place there and be a leader in this or that initiative - in overcoming the difficulties of this or that item from these ten," Uladzimir Zelensky noted.

As conditions for the resumption of negotiations with Russia, the President of Ukraine named radiation and nuclear, food and energy security, release of all prisoners, restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine, withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities.

Recently, more and more publications about the need for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine have appeared in the American and European press.

According to NBC News sources, some Western officials increasingly believe that neither Kyiv nor Moscow will be able to achieve their stated goals in the war, and therefore see winter as a time to begin diplomatic negotiations between the sides.

The Italian La Repubblica and the American Washington Post, citing sources in President Biden's administration, reported that Washington privately urged Zelensky's office to show "openness" to negotiations with Russia.

And according to the New York Times, the US government is currently debating whether to put pressure on Ukraine, demanding negotiations with Moscow.

According to the newspaper, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, is in favor of dialogue, but Biden's advisers do not yet share this position.
