Chhath Puja -

The great festival of faith Chhath This fast is observed on the sixth day of Shukla Paksha of the month of Kartik.

This festival is of four days.

On the first day Nahay Khay, second Kharna, on the third day Chhath Puja i.e. by offering Arghya to the setting sun and on the fourth day to the rising sun, the fast is observed.

This fast which started after Kharna is kept waterless for 36 hours.

With the blessings of Chhathi Maiya and Surya Dev, there is no harm to the children in life and they get strength and power like the Sun.

Santan Saptami -

The fast of Santan Saptami is observed on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month.

It is believed that due to its effect one gets the boon of progeny, prosperity and happiness.

There is a ritual of worshiping Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati in this fast.

Devaki and Vasudev also observed this fast to protect their children.

Jitiya Vrat - Jitiya Vrat

is observed on Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month, it is also known as Jivitputrika Vrat.

Women keep Nirjala fast for the prosperity and advanced life of their children.

Skanda Shashthi - Skanda Shashthi  

fast is observed on the Shashthi date of Shukla Paksha of every month.

Lord Kartikeya is duly worshiped on this day.

This is one of the main fast in South India.

Putrada Ekadashi -

 Putrada Ekadashi is celebrated twice a year, one in Paush Shukla Paksha and the other in Shravan Shukla Paksha. This fast is considered very fruitful to save children from trouble and for their welfare.
