Operationally - the search for 12-year-old Alexander Tsvetanov continues from today in a new form and with a different distribution of forces and means, announced the Regional Directorate (OD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Specialists will check hard-to-reach places again and more thoroughly.

A total of sixty employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continue the search, the forces of the regional directorates of Pernik, Blagoevgrad and Kyustendil, as well as the General Directorate of the National Police, are involved.

The search for new witnesses and people who could provide information about the child continues.

Since the start of the campaign, an average of 50 reports from citizens have been checked per day.

In the case, pre-trial proceedings were initiated under Art.

142 of the Criminal Code under the direction of the District Prosecutor's Office - Pernik.

More than 12 witnesses were interviewed, the family of the missing child, his teachers, as well as anyone whose information could help in the search.

Numerous talks and conversations with Alexander's father were held and two expert examinations were appointed.

The search for Alexander Tsvetanov continues actively for the seventh day.

The child has been missing since November 11, 2022 to date.

A 20-kilometer radius from the place of his disappearance in Golo Bardo mountain was checked in detail.

All available video surveillance cameras in the area, as well as numerous ones for the protection of private homes and public premises, have been repeatedly checked.

Abandoned buildings, schools and kindergartens, residential and farm buildings, shafts, reservoirs and the entire wooded area in the 20-kilometer zone were searched.

At the same time, police officers and volunteers checked all the settlements in the municipalities of Pernik district.

They also searched huge forest areas, residential and public buildings and places where the boy could possibly be.

Alexander Tsvetanov has been declared a nationwide wanted man.
