Western countries should not impose their conditions for ending the war on Ukraine, because now Ukrainians are fighting against Russian aggressors and are defending not only themselves, but also the whole of Europe.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavski,

The Guardian

reports .

To the journalist's question about whether Ukrainians should now demand the return of their territories as of 1991, he answered that Ukrainians themselves should decide what to do, because now they are fighting for their existence.

He also reminded that Russia grossly violates the principles of the UN regarding territorial integrity and international legal order.

"Putin wants to destroy the principle according to which the borders of states are not changed by brute force. Ukrainians have made a clear choice: they do not want to be part of the Moscow empire," said the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry.

Lipavski added that Western countries should help Ukraine, because it protects the whole of Europe.

Earlier, expert Oleg Zhdanov stated that

Russia can turn the war into an endless

one if it finds a source of arms supply.
