Kevin Spacey will be charged with seven more sexual offenses against one man, prosecutors said, quoted by the Guardian.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said it had cleared the new charges against the 63-year-old actor, including three counts of indecent behaviour, three counts of sexual assault and one count of inducing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, Darrick reports.

Spacey appeared at the Old Bailey in July to deny five charges relating to three men, now in their 30s and 40s.

Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS's Special Crimes Unit, said: "The CPS cleared further criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 63, for a number of sexual assaults against a man between 2001 and 2004. The CPS also cleared one charge of forcing a person to participate in sexual activity without consent.

The power to charge is after a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in the investigation."

"The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that the criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are active and that he is entitled to a fair trial," she added.

Earlier in October, a jury in a New York civil trial against Kevin Spacey dismissed an actor's sexual assault allegations against him, AFP and DPA reported.

Anthony Rapp claims Spacey tried to seduce him at a party in Manhattan 36 years ago and is seeking $40 million in damages.

At that time, Rapp was 14 years old, and the future Hollywood star was 26.

Rapp said in an interview several years ago that a drunken Spacey grabbed him "like a groom holds a bride," led him to the bed, and lay on top of him.

Rapp broke free and ran.

Kept silent about what happened for three decades.

When Rapp told his story to BuzzFeed in 2017, the #MeToo (#MeToo) movement was just beginning to sweep Hollywood.

Spacey said he did not remember the incident.

However, the actor said that if something similar to Rapp's description did indeed happen, he offered his sincerest apologies for the unseemly behavior of a drunken man.

Kevin Spacey has denied sexual assault allegations

After that, many more men accused Kevin Spacey of sexual assault and he fell out of favor.

Spacey's lawyers later dismissed the allegations as false.

They argued that Rapp never attended the party in question, and even if what happened was true, it did not meet the legal definition of sexual assault.

The two-time Oscar winner denies all accusations against him.

The trial against Kevin Spacey began on October 6 and lasted exactly two weeks.

The 12-member jury acquitted him after less than two hours of deliberations.

On October 29, 2017, Spacey issued an apology to Rapp for his actions, describing them as "highly inappropriate drunken behavior."

In his apology, the actor also revealed that he is gay.

Several gay rights organizations and activists criticized Spacey for implying a relationship between the two.

Writer Dan Savage wrote on Twitter that "neither alcoholism nor fear of disclosing one's orientation excuses the sexual assault" of which Spacey is accused.

On November 3, 2017, Netflix publicly announced the postponement of House of Cards filming until Spacey was replaced.

Spacey, 63, has won the world's most prestigious award, the Seventh Art, twice - for best supporting role in the film "The Usual Suspects" in 1995 and for best actor for "American Charms" three years later late.

He also starred in House of Cards, but was dropped from the hit series due to allegations of sexual assault.

Anthony Rapp is known from the films "The Adventures of Nanny" and the TV series "Star Trek: Discovery".
