China has called for "calm" after a missile attack on a

Polish

village near the border with Ukraine.

This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning at a media briefing on Wednesday, November 16.

"In the current situation, all relevant parties must remain calm and exercise restraint to avoid escalating the situation," she told the media.

It should be noted that China is a key ally of Russia.

The country has never openly condemned the large-scale war in Ukraine launched by Putin on February 24.

Falling missiles in Poland

On November 15, a Russian rocket fell on the territory of Poland in the village of Przewoduwi, Lublin Voivodeship, killing two people, the investigation is ongoing.

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed

that these are indeed Russian-made missiles.

Polish leader Andrzej Duda said at a briefing that

"there is no convincing evidence of who launched this missile

. "

Duda warned that Polish troops and the North Atlantic Alliance are in a state of readiness.

In turn, US President Joe

Biden said that the missile was not launched from the territory of Russia.

However, he urged to wait for the investigation of the incident to be completed.

But the President of Turkey, Recep Erdogan, expressed doubts about Russia's involvement in the fall of missiles in Poland.

The Turkish leader says that he "has the general impression that this missile is not of Russian production."

In his opinion,

if Russia said something, it is probably true.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, said that the

strikes on the territory of Poland were not an accident,

but a deliberately planned "hello" from Russia, disguised as a "mistake".

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak

held an emergency meeting

with US President Joe Biden and NATO leaders regarding the fall of Russian missiles in Poland.

The leaders pledged to help with Poland's investigation into the fall of the missiles and would "maintain close contact to determine appropriate next steps in the investigation."

In connection with the incident, the combat readiness of the military was increased

in Poland  ,

and today, November 16, the National Security and Defense Council is being convened.
