The names came to the fore last Friday after the West Bengal Board of Primary Education released the marks of successful candidates who took the exam in 2014.

The names of Amit Shah, Mamta Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, Shubhendu Adhikari, Dilip Ghosh, Sukant Majumdar and Sujan Chakraborty are in this list.

However, according to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE), these are not well-known politicians, but candidates who have made it through the teachers' recruitment list.

Soon after the list was published, the BJP attacked the government regarding this.

BJP's state unit president Sukanta Majumdar tweeted, "This is the level of education and evaluation in West Bengal. Corruption is high and education and evaluation is poor. Sad situation. CM Mamata and state officials playing with the lives of candidates." When will you stop?"

However, WBBPE said that these are the names of the real candidates.

WBPPE President Gautam Paul said, "Why don't you make a telephone call to these candidates and ask them? These days everyone has a mobile phone. Ask them to send their photographs and ask them if they are the same person." ."

Elucidating his point further, Paul said, "There is also an Amit Shah. You give me their details and I will find out. You have mentioned all these names, but why don't you tell that there are three candidates who have Same name as board president?"

Asked about Mamata Banerjee being included in the list, he said: "There is a person by that name. We called him and he told us that his father's name is Mathuranath Banerjee. If you call him, you all Will know its details."
