The Chinese Academy of Sciences shows off the research and development results of UAVs, and the Tengyun machine will be mass-produced after completing the combat evaluation next year

[Reporter Tu Jumin/Taichung Report] In response to the threat of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the National Army continues to strengthen its "asymmetrical combat power." The Chinese Academy of Sciences demonstrated the results of drone research and development yesterday. For the first time, the Chinese Academy of Sciences disclosed the actual aircraft and its performance. Qi Liping, Director of Aviation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that the "Jianxiang" UAV can have an attack distance of more than 1,000 kilometers, stay in the air for five hours, and dive at a speed of 500 to 600 kilometers per hour.

Jianxiang plane dives at a speed of more than 500 kilometers per hour

From this year to 2026, the Ministry of National Defense has implemented a "special budget for the procurement of naval and air combat power enhancement plans" of more than 236.9 billion yuan, of which more than 11.9 billion yuan has been invested in the mass production of "Jianxiang" drones.

According to the plan of the national army, the annual output of this type of UAV can reach more than 48, and it is divided into two types of target-seeking and attacking aircraft. After detecting and searching the enemy's radar radiation signal, it can collide and destroy the enemy's target at high speed, and suppress the target including the CCP's coast and inland and maritime radar.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences also announced the exact parameters of the "Jianxiang" drone for the first time. Qi Liping said that if the "Jianxiang" anti-radiation drone flies in a straight line, its attack distance will exceed 1,000 kilometers and it can stay in the air for five hours. 100 kilometers, there is still about 500 kilometers to spare, and can hover over the target area.

The flying speed of the "Jianxiang" UAV is about 200 kilometers per hour, and the speed of the dive attack phase can reach about 500 to 600 kilometers per hour.

Qi Liping said that the "Jianxiang" anti-radiation UAV is small in size, high in maneuverability, and long in the air. It can be deployed, launched, and transported in a short period of time, effectively improving operational flexibility and weapon system survivability.

In addition, mission planning can be carried out before launch, and the optimal path can be used to fly above the target area to search, avoid predictable threats, and prevent enemy artillery or missile attacks.

As for the large-scale fixed-wing UAV, Qi Liping said that the "Tengyun" large-scale UAV has completed the research and development evaluation, and it is expected that after the completion of the operational evaluation next year, mass production will start according to the needs of the Air Force.

Hundreds of rotor-type aircraft will be delivered next year

In addition, the Chinese Academy of Sciences is mass-producing 50 sets and 100 rotor-type drones for the Army Joint Battalion, and the delivery is expected to be completed next year. The information released by the Chinese Academy of Sciences reveals that the guidance and control radius of this drone is about 30 kilometers, and the time in the air is about 30 kilometers. For one hour, it can withstand strong winds of level six, conduct tactical reconnaissance and surveillance on beaches, towns, etc., and connect to the national military information transmission system.

On the 15th, the Ministry of National Defense arranged a media visit to the "Development of Military UAVs in my country" by the Aviation Institute of the National Zhongshan Academy of Sciences, showing a variety of self-made UAVs and introducing the production process.
