As a result of Iran's shelling of Iraqi territory, at least one person was killed and ten others were injured, Xinhua news agency reports.

The headquarters of the Kurdish opposition in northern Iraq became the target of Iranian shelling.

"In the morning, Iranian forces carried out an attack with the use of two ballistic missiles and three kamikaze drones, which hit the headquarters of the party in the provinces of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah," the message reads.

The Iranian strikes destroyed several buildings close to those targeted.

The last time Iran struck Kurdish positions in Iraq was September 28.

Then 13 people died, 58 were injured.
