Chinese President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron called for the resumption of ceasefire and peace talks in Ukraine at the G20 meeting held in Bali, Indonesia.

"We must stop the fire, stop the war and start peace talks," Xi Jinping said.

Macron, in turn, declared that the French side is ready to promote peaceful global development together with Beijing.

The Chinese President added that his country's position on Ukraine will not change.

"The international community should create conditions for the peace process.

After that, Beijing will continue its constructive efforts," added Xi Jinping.
