A four-day border coordination conference between Inspectors General of Border Security Force (BSF) and regional commanders of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) began on Sunday evening and will continue till November 16.

According to a press statement issued by BSF, during the meeting both the sides shared their agenda points.

Matters related to a coordinated border management plan are also being discussed in the meeting, including coordinated patrolling both during day and night, sharing of intelligence, identification of sensitive areas and increasing the frequency of meetings at all levels. Is.

The BSF statement also said that various issues of mutual interest for effective border management were discussed during the meeting.

Significantly, Bangladesh and West Bengal share a border of about 2,216.7 km.
