The withdrawal of the Russian army from the city of

Kherson

, which was liberated by the Ukrainian army on November 11, to the left bank is fueling an ideological split between pro-war activists and Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, undermining confidence in Putin's commitment and ability to fulfill his military promises.

This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Analysts remind that Oleksandr Dugin, who is called an ideologue of "Russian peace", openly criticized Putin for failing to support Russian ideology by surrendering the city of Kherson.

At the same time, according to Dugin, the commander of Russian troops in Ukraine, Army General Serhiy Surovikin, is not responsible for the political decision to withdraw from Kherson.

"It is more difficult for Putin to appease part of the highly ideological pro-war electorate due to the inability of his military to achieve his maximalist goals of overthrowing the Ukrainian government and seizing all of Ukraine," the report says.

ISW writes that Russian propagandists, such as Volodymyr Solovyov, are increasingly demanding from the Kremlin and the military high command total commitment to their goals in Ukraine.

Propagandist Solovyov even called for full mobilization and dismissal of incompetent officials after Kherson surrendered to Russia.

Some bloggers have previously criticized Putin for his failure to respond to the attack on the Kerch bridge on October 9.

Others noted that Putin has not supported the ideology of Russian supremacy since 2014.

"Direct criticism of Putin among the pro-war community is almost unprecedented, and Dugin's loud and reckless attack on Putin may signal a shift among Russian nationalist ideologues. Doubts among extreme Russian nationalists about Putin's commitment to Russian ideology are reducing Putin's appeal to the nationalist community, while mobilization and heavy losses are likely to continue to upset members of Russian society," the analysts added.

Liberation of Kherson

We will remind, on November 11,

the Ukrainian army liberated Kherson

.

This happened after the leadership of the Russian Federation announced that it had decided to withdraw its troops from the city to the left bank of the Dnieper.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that this is not a gesture of goodwill or a gift - the liberation of Kherson was preceded by painstaking and long work of Ukrainian forces.

As of the evening of November 12, according to Zelenskyi,

60 settlements were taken under control in the Kherson region.

On Saturday, November 11, when the Ukrainian army entered Kherson, the city's residents were finally able to go out into the streets without fear.

Joyful people greeted the Heroes with applause,

they did not hold back their emotions,

hugged the soldiers, thanked them for liberation from the Russian occupation.

Together with the people of Kherson, not only Ukrainians in various settlements of the country, but also the whole world wept from happiness.

Thus, the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaia Kallas, congratulated the residents of the Kherson region on their liberation from the Russian invaders, saying:

"

I am moved to tears

when I see how freedom returns to Kherson, how Ukrainians hug their soldiers, how blue and yellow flags are raised."

In the meantime, the legitimate local Ukrainian authorities have already returned to Kherson - the head of the OVA, Yaroslav Yanushevich, the commander of the OC "South" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Andriy Kovalchuk, the National Police and the SBU, are already working in the city.

In addition, in an unprecedentedly short period of time, the state restored the broadcasting of Ukrainian television and radio in Kherson, which had been interrupted by the occupiers.

Work is also underway to restore electricity to the city.

It is expected that the first cities and villages

will receive electricity next week.

As the occupiers, fleeing, mined everything around and blew up bridges, residents of Kherson are urged

to be careful and not to independently check any buildings and objects left by the Russians.

According to President Zelenskyi, there are 10 groups of bomb technicians working in Kherson, the police are working, and there are various units of the Defense Forces.

Instead, British Defense Minister Ben Wallace called the withdrawal of occupation troops from Kherson "another strategic failure of Russia."

According to him, the Kremlin did not achieve its goals, but

gained international isolation and humiliation.
