The situation in occupied Luhansk: what is known

Back in 2014, Russia occupied the Ukrainian city of Luhansk.

Under the guise of "we are not here", the Russians declared a fake sub-republic in the region and installed a puppet government there.

In September 2022, the Russian Federation held another fake referendum in the occupied Luhansk region and attempted to annex Ukrainian territories.

In 2022, Russia turned a Ukrainian city into its military base.

There, the occupiers keep their soldiers and treat "Wagnerian prisoners".

The Russians also carried out mass mobilization in the occupied Luhansk region: almost the entire male population of the region was drafted into the occupation army.
