We have turned our full attention to the forest area, but unfortunately to no avail.

This is what Emil Neshev, director of the Mountain Rescue Service (MSS), told BTA.

The search for 12-year-old Alexander, who disappeared in the Pernik area, continues for a second day.

Police and gendarmerie, PSS units, representatives of the capital's emergency and rescue unit, as well as volunteers are participating in the large-scale operation.

Neshev specified that 32 mountain rescuers with seven dogs, from five or six detachments from Bulgaria, are participating in the search for the child.

What depends on us will be done, but so far there is no effect, said Neshev.

He explained that the search was extremely difficult in terms of not having any information, direction, reference, anything.

That's why we're looking everywhere, Emil Neshev specified.
