German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that it is now impossible to end the

war that Russia has unleashed against Ukraine    through diplomacy and

negotiations .

He said this in an interview with the RND publication, writes UNIAN.

Scholz emphasized that

it is Russia that is hindering this process, and Ukraine should not make concessions to the Russians.

"With this murderous war, which we are currently experiencing, Putin, first of all, prevented everything that happened before in terms of negotiations," said the chancellor of Germany.

Scholz emphasized that dictators must understand that it is impossible to seize the territories of independent countries.

"First of all, Russia must realize that the idea of a dictatorial world will not work and that you cannot simply walk around the territory with a felt-tip pen and say that it is now mine. Therefore, there will be no dictatorial world, there must be a different understanding."

Negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine

In the first months

of the war,

Russian and Ukrainian delegations held several rounds of negotiations on a possible end to Russian aggression, but these meetings did not bring results.

In November, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr

Zelenskyi said that he is ready for negotiations with the Russian Federation

on the condition that its rhetoric changes and when the aggressor country recognizes itself as an occupier.

The representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, stated that the

Russian Federation is ready for negotiations with Ukraine

"taking into account the current realities."

Experts say that negotiations are necessary for Moscow to achieve a ceasefire and during this time to gather strength for a new offensive.

In particular, political expert Stanislav Zhelikhovskyi believes that the start of negotiations is impossible,

as long as Ukrainian territories are part of the aggressor country in the constitution of the Russian Federation.
