It is reported that he wanted to move to Russia or Ukraine at one point during the espionage operation in May 2020.

He provided the telephone numbers, addresses, and relevant activity information of British government officials to Russian military officer Sergey Chukhurov, as well as embassy venue plans and other operational information, which was helpful for Russian intelligence gathering.
