The European Commission has announced that it is urgently providing 250 million euros for the development of the infrastructure used to transport goods to and from Ukraine.

The commission notes that food and other goods have been exported along the so-called "corridors of solidarity" since the beginning of the war initiated by Russia, from which Ukraine received revenues of 15 billion euros, reports BTA.

The EC considers that there are deficiencies in infrastructure, so next year the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide an additional total of 600 million euros.

The World Bank is expected to contribute $100 million.

It is planned that the EU will later channel another 50 million euros for the same purpose.

A message from the commission states that Ukraine has so far managed to export 15 million tons of agricultural goods, as well as 25 million tons of grain.

It is added that before the war, Ukrainian grain exports reached 45 million tons per year.
