Ukrainian singer

Nastya Kamenskikh (NK)

and

Artem Pyvovarov

presented a joint incendiary track "There in the poplar".

The performers recorded their first joint duet as part of Pivovarov's project "Your poems, my notes".

The artist premiered the black-and-white clip, filmed against the background of Ukrainian landscapes, on his YouTube channel.

The musical composition was based on the poems of the famous Ukrainian poet Pavlo Tychyna - "There are poplars in the field" and "Where the poplar grows...".

"In his works, Pavlo Tychyna very skillfully describes nature and man's interaction with it. His poetry is full of love for Ukrainian landscapes. In addition, the poet conveys every detail so accurately that you can practically feel the violent wind, the singing of poplars or the sound of rye, about which he writes. Many Ukrainians currently miss their native landscapes, so the work "There in the poplar" is an opportunity to mentally transport yourself to the Motherland while listening to a song or watching a video," Pyvovarov shared.

Nastya Kamenskikh admitted that for her participation in her colleague's project was a kind of experiment, but she was happy to contribute to the creation of a new sound of Ukrainian classics.

"The song "There in the poplar" contains the words of the famous Pavel Tychyna from two incredible works, in which the poplar is a symbol of the greatness of the human spirit, its thirst for freedom and happiness. Today, it has a special meaning for all Ukrainians. Therefore, it was really exciting to record this work. We wanted to vocally convey the energy and power with which the author's words are permeated and emphasize it with a high-quality, powerful musical accompaniment. I think we succeeded and, I hope, the listeners will feel the message that the author himself put into each word, and which we tried to reproduce in every sound," shared Nastya.
