APA reports that since 2019, UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee has included "Lazgi-Kharazm dance" in the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The "Lazgi" dance, created in the land of Kharazm, is the embodiment of the sounds and manifestations of nature, the feelings of love and happiness in actions.

Currently, "Lazgi" is popular in all regions of Uzbekistan.

The choreographer of the performance is Raoul Raymondo Rebeck, a graduate of the ballet school next to the Berlin National Opera.

After Rebek's one-act performance "Beyaz roya" created for the "Universal Ballet" troupe of the Republic of Korea was received with interest at the Eurasian modern dance festival in Astana last year, he was entrusted with the production of the ballet performance "Lazgi".

A ballet performance dedicated to this dance helps to spread Uzbekistan's dance traditions in the international cultural environment.

For this purpose, it is planned to show the work in foreign countries to promote the intangible heritage of the country and popularize Uzbek ballet.

It should be noted that Samarkand Musical Drama Theater named after Hamid Alimcan, where "Lazgi" is currently being shown, is one of the largest theaters in Uzbekistan.

The theater named after the famous Uzbek poet, writer and playwright Hamid Alimca was founded in 1914 by Russian, Uzbek and Tajik actors and artists.
